Situated along the crystal-clear waters of the Tallapoosa River, Jenkins Creek Adventures is an outdoor destination unlike anything else in Central Alabama. Come for the canoeing, camping, fishing tubing and swimming or to simply relax and soak up the sun on almost a mile of natural beach. With over 300 acres of river, beach, woods, lakes, and trails located minutes outside of Montgomery, we offer year-round outdoor fun and lasting memories for people of all ages.

Enjoy River-Side and Wooded Campsites

Enjoy an afternoon of swimming, sunning and fishing at the sandbar, then watch the fireflies and stars light up the night from fire side at one of our River-Side campsites. Take a morning stroll on the beach watching its inhabitants get their day started. It’s the perfect place for your morning run, swim, bike or hike. A cool-down in the river afterwards is a must and very rewarding!

Canoe or Float down the Tallapoosa

Spend a half day or all day on the river. Come rent a boat or a float and spend the day navigating the clear, cool waters of the Tallapoosa.

Pack a picnic, take your fishing tackle, or simply a camera to record nature in all its glory. Watch the natives hunt in the river with amazing stealth and skill, from birds of prey in the skies, to sportfish and gar in the waters. Peer down through the clear-as-glass waters as you drift over the relics of past civilizations, ancient sunken trees and rocks of every shape, size and color conceivable. We offer half  and full-day trips. All tube and raft trips are half-day trips only. Your trip may vary slightly depending on current and wind conditions.

Fishing At Jenkins Creek

Jenkins Creek Adventures has acres and acres of beautiful, gravel-bottomed lakes to catch the fish everyone loves to chase: bream, crappie, bass, catfish...even gar! You can also fish on Jenkins Creek, which feeds the south lake. Fish from the bank, bring your own boat, or rent one from us. We offer half and full-day canoe rentals.
